Red Kayak

Red Kayak was the story of the week. The story is an example of realistic fiction. We discussed literary elements and story structure including setting, character, plot, and theme. We learned that the plot is the pattern of events in a story and typically includes conflict, rising action, climax, and resolution. We discussed the author's intent and the use of dialogue and narration.
